LAZER KINETICORE 5-STAR PROTECTION

Lazer’s proven KinetiCore technology is the world’s first responsibly designed and fully Integrated Rotational Impact Protection technology (similar to MIPS) that’s built directly into the helmet, instead of added on afterwards. The result is a lighter, cooler helmet with enhanced protective capability that won’t squeak, rattle or compromise comfort and airflow. KinetiCore Controlled Crumple Zones absorb the force of both direct and rotational impacts in the event of a crash to re-direct energy away from your head, protecting you when you need it most. The Virginia Tech impact testing uses the STAR evaluation system to determine the helmet’s ability to reduce linear acceleration and rotational velocity of the head resulting from a range of impacts a cyclist might experience. 5-star indicates the “Best Available” rating possible. Virginia Tech recommends the use of any 4- or 5-star rated helmet.

SIZE GUIDE

To determine the best size helmet, you will need to measure the circumference of the rider's head. A measuring tape is ideal for this (or a string works). Start in the middle of the forehead, and wrap the tape around the widest part of your child's head back to the starting point. Match your measured circumference to the proper size below:

• Small: 52-56 cm • 20.5-22.0 in • Ages 12+/Adult
• Medium: 55-59 cm • 21.7-23.2 in • Ages 12+/Adult
• Large: 58-61 cm • 22.8-24.0 in • Ages 12+/Adult
• X-Large: 61-64 cm • 24.0-25.2 in • Ages 12+/Adult

Age recommendations are guidelines only. For best fit, please measure the rider's head. If between sizes, we recommend going with the larger of the two options.

SPECIFICATIONS

* Rotational protection helps reduce forces from angled impacts by allowing slight movement between the helmet and head. While not essential, it offers added safety at minimal cost. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is the most widely recognized technology, but many brands offer their own versions. Independent of rotational protection, all helmets sold by Ready Set Pedal meet CPSC's stringent safety standards for the U.S. market.
